Viscid Xenogenics is a 2D point and click narrative game with a sci-fi/horror twist and an ambiguous take on society's impact on the individual. While I love game design, my background is in art and I really wanted my project to be something I could focus on the art for. Everything in the game is hand drawn by me, which is exactly why I chose the point and click genre. I can allow the player to be immersed by the art and story rather than worry too much about coding. The story itself is about the discovery of a government-made alien, abused by the system he was created by despite his personality being the complete opposite of what they want him to be. While about an alien, this story is actually quite parallel to what a lot of people experience in their daily lives. I hope to shed some light on this without making the alien feel like the monster, and create a relatable character for people who need it.
