At some point throughout the course of our lives, we all experience loss. We all experience loss and grief differently, and in this project I attempted to channel my own experiences. As an artist, loss has had a major impact on how I approach art. I wanted to explore the possible overlapping of the creative process and the grieving process. I also sought to explore duality, and how the ugly moments in life can create some of the most beautiful. I hope to relate a story of loss, as well as a story of discovering aspects of one's self.

Artist Bio

Destin Brown is a 3D animator and Cinematographer from New Haven, Connecticut. He is currently majoring in Digital Media and Design and is on track to graduate in spring of 2021 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Throughout his time as an undergraduate, he has become well versed in numerous forms of media, such as video editing, graphic design, and motion graphics, with a concentration in 3D animation. He loves to work with others and expresses himself through his artwork.
