Artist Statement
In my 3D animation, Imagination in Overdrive, I try to bring viewers into a world driven by playful imagination. Taking place in a 3D modeled child’s bedroom, we follow a toy bus as it races through a vibrant city made of blocks, encountering other toy obstacles along the way. Memories of playing with my brother as a kid inspired me to create this project. We would play with toy cars on our living room floor, and we would make little cities with Lincoln Logs and Lego for the Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars to drive through. Inspired by a sense of nostalgia, my animation aims to remind viewers of their own childhood memories.
