Oh Chickens! is a short film about a young girl who learns about the nature of responsibility. I created this film with my own experience at heart. I have a baby sister 19 years younger than me, and she was quite the surprise. At first, I was simply excited about the cute new baby that was coming into my life—but I very quickly realized that having a tiny human around was a lot of work. Any older sibling, regardless of age, would understand the rush of emotions that comes with a new baby in the family. Despite a few initial bumps in the road, I've grown to love her more than nearly any other person on this planet, and I dedicate this film to her: the tiny little surprise chick.

Artist Bio

Lynette's art comes from her childhood. As an artist, she never really lost that hint of magic. She aspires to be like the great Hayao Miyazaki, one who tells stories for the characters, not the effects. She loves the freedom in creating art, and the way it can influence people. She wants to make games and cartoons that both teach and show children how valuable it is to be unique, and to cultivate young minds, because letting your imagination run free is an ability that few posses. There's no such thing as impossible when you have worlds at your fingertips!

Lynette is a lifetime student. She never stops learning, and knows that it's not possible to learn everything—yet wants to try anyway. No job is too small, no detail unimportant. Each piece is a story within itself.
