Video Game

A Parent-ly Knot is a co-op puzzle game about a single father and his young daughter Lucy. The player must simply explore and navigate their environment while completing a list of tasks. The only problem is that the child is bound by a leash for safety reasons and cannot stray too far. With this restraint, there are multiple puzzles to solve that require both players to interact with. In this version of the game it is set up to be single-player, in which you can swap between each character. In a future version of the game it would be possible to have two players play locally as an alternate option. This game seeks to explore themes relating to family control dynamics, and tries to give perspectives of both sides in terms of overprotective parenting. It comes to the resolution that by working together and seeing each other as individuals can help create an understanding for one another.
