To conclude my BFA in Digital Media and Design at the University of Connecticut, I developed a mobile app prototype called 80HD, with guidance from Brian Daley. This app is meant to connect young adults with ADHD, offering a space to share tips and support. Features like Community and Messages allow users to safely discuss topics they relate to, while tools like Reminders, To-Do lists, and the Focus Timer help them work towards their goals independently. By consolidating various functionalities into a single platform, 80HD aims to streamline the user experience, sparing individuals the hassle of juggling multiple apps. make life easier for its users, who often feel isolated in a world that doesn't always understand their needs.
Marisa Morneau is a senior at the University of Connecticut, majoring in Digital Media Design, concentrating in Web/Interactive Media Design. She discovered her interest in digital media in high school through the support of her art teachers, starting with graphic design by creating digital art. Through the Digital Media and Design program, Marisa learned about the process of designing the everyday technologies we use in our lives. UX/UI and Web Accessibility are just a couple of the topics that interest Marisa in her career path. Marisa’s mission in her career is to enhance the daily lives of web and mobile users by creating a better digital experience. For her senior BFA project, Marisa created 80HD, advised by Brian Daley, as a way to improve the lives of young adults with ADHD, by connecting users and reducing the feelings of loneliness and shame surrounding ADHD.
