Link to Atla's Odyssey

I use game art and game design to change the shape of a game's canvas with unique models and art. I prominently feature interpreted landscapes, environments, mountains, forests in 2D and 3D spaces. I've lived my entire life just miles away from varying landscapes, forests, and hills. I've drawn from these natural elements for inspiration in my work—they inspire me and my current project Alta's Odyssey. This interactive game takes the player on a journey through Alta's stages of grief following the passing of their beloved rabbit. The player (you) traverse through fantastical landscapes and environments colored to each stage of grief towards one finally goodbye.

Artist Bio

Matt Ciccone is a game designer, game artist, and graphic designer. A Connecticut native, Matt’s creative works draw inspiration from places all over the world including ones that are from the roots of imagination, such as games like Gris and the Uncharted series. In his personal style, he tries to evoke emotion and depth and express the vibrant spirit and atmosphere of the worlds and characters that can be created for games and designs.
Heavily wooded landscapes, deep colors, emotions, and rich environments are all brought to life with contrasting and complementary colors and compositions. Matt, who likes to tell stories through game design and art, wants the viewers to experience deep emotions while journeying through those mediums. He is currently working towards his BFA in Game Design from University of Connecticut. His project experience includes work on original games Dust & Echoes and Green Rangers. He is the recipient of various Awards for artwork and from the Lift-Off and Flickfair film festivals for the short animated film 1914.
