Invisible Ties is a documentary about my trip back to South Africa and spending a Christmas together with my family for the first time in six years. I went because of a medical emergency with my grandfather. I wanted to document my trip and experience because it was a very special and unique opportunity for my extended family to spend one last Christmas together with my grandfather. This trip was all about remembering my grandmother rediscovering my ties with my grandfather, my family and a country that captivated my heart.
