In most of my independent projects the themes are often focused on concepts like memory, perspective, time, loss, and change. My newest, and most ambitious project yet, Evergreen, is a short animated film that explores feelings of love and loss and the rebirth of that love in others. It utilizes underlying themes of environmentalism as visual representations of emotional states. The project uses motion capture, manual animation, simulations, and photorealism through modeling and texturing.

Artist Bio

Ben Anderson is a 3D animator and digital designer with a passion for storytelling. As a senior Digital Media & Design student at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, studying with a concentration in 3D Animation, Ben plans on continuing to grow his skills in the digital world, striving for opportunity to tell stories that expand of differing perspectives, learnable moments, and a communication of the sciences. Growing up in a household fueled by creativity, Anderson learned artistic skill and a love for movies and media. Working within UConn's DMD Department embracing the medium has given him the opportunity to combine and apply those passions to the world.
