Artist Bio
Danny is currently pursuing a BFA degree in Film/Video Production at the University of Connecticut, while also working as a student video producer for UConn Football, where he films and edits creative video content. He has been an integral part of the media team since August 2021. Over the past four years with the team, Danny has refined his filmmaking skills and taken pride in contributing to the growth of the team’s social media presence across all platforms. He plans to continue his creative content career in professional or college-level athletics, with the goal of becoming a creative director for an individual program.
Artist Statement
Crossing the Line is a project that tells a significant story from my family lineage through one of the most impactful times in human history. I felt a sense of responsibility to combine my passion for filmmaking with the uncommon opportunity of having the perspectives of past generations represented in this story. The idea of showing this film to my children and grandchildren, and allowing them the chance to see and hear accounts from someone four or five generations removed, provided me with the motivation to make Crossing the Line. Interviews with my great grandmother, historical footage of World War II, B-Roll, a custom score, and more will be used to visually depict this story.
