Artist Statement

I’m Gary Stewart, a game designer with roots in Fairfield, Connecticut, where the salty coastal air and dense forests shaped my imagination. My childhood was filled with adventures among nature, which sparked my love for storytelling and exploration. Today, I channel these experiences into interactive digital media that invite players to do the same. I aim to craft games that encourage creativity, spark joy, and make players reflect on their own journeys. By blending my technical skills with my love for artistic expression, I work to create experiences that go beyond entertainment—games that inspire others to explore, create, and enjoy life to its fullest. Through the game design process, I prioritize the player’s experience and design environments and mechanics that are both intuitive and thought-provoking. My work is guided by a desire to create engaging worlds that allow players to lose themselves, challenge their thinking, and ultimately inspire them to create their own stories, whether through play or their own art.
