In response to the department&#8217;s extraordinary growth, this year\u2019s exhibition will include a day-long film and animation festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition is open from April 10 to 26, 2026 in the Jorgensen Gallery. A public reception will be held on Saturday, April 25, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Jorgensen Gallery is located on the lower level of Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts at 2132 Hillside Road on the UConn Storrs campus. Spring 2026 gallery hours are Monday to Wednesday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday 1-4 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and prior to performances and during most intermissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Film &amp; Animation Festival will take place on Saturday, April 25, at the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre, also in the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts. The doors open at 10 a.m., with the first of four screening blocks starting at 11 a.m., ending at approximately 8 p.m. All events are free and open to the public (donations appreciated). DESIGN<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The University of Connecticut\u2019s Department of Digital Media &amp; Design creates future leaders in entertainment, design, business, and communications. Students study animation, film\/video production, game design, web\/interactive media design, digital media business strategies, and digital culture. Our commitment to experiential learning prepares our students to respond to real-world challenges, and we encourage students to find and express their voice, building from their unique background and perspective. In doing so, the School of Fine Arts serves students at UConn in both their educational and their professional development. Follow Route 195 south approximately 7 miles, crossing Route&nbsp;32.&nbsp;Turn right onto Route 44. Drive 1\/2 mile, then turn left at the first stop light onto Discovery Way. Follow Discovery Way into UConn campus.<br><br><strong>To Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts:<\/strong> Follow the directions to UConn above. At the traffic light on Discovery Way, continue straight and take the first left to park in the North Garage. Jorgensen is located diagonally across the street.<br><br><em>*Hillside Road on the UConn Storrs campus is closed to vehicular traffic between Glenbrook Road and Jim Calhoun Way. Motorists who park in North Garage should access the garage by taking Discovery Drive or Glenbrook Road to the garage entrance on north Hillside Road.
