Artist Bio
Remy is a web designer and programmer. He is graduating from UConn with a BFA in digital media and design, concentrating in web with a minor in the fine arts. He has been studying and creating interactive media on the web for the past 4 years, such as AR scavenger hunts, interactive PWA games, and beautiful responsive websites. However, he also works in many different mediums of art such as traditional painting and drawing, screenprinting, ceramics, cardboard sculptures, digital art, and of course UI/UX design. He was awarded a fine arts talent scholarship in 2022. As an artist he’s always been drawn to websites on the internet, especially the early internet and it’s unique displays of creativity (the websites on my-space, for example).
He wants to re-create this in his work and bring back colors and fun interactive elements. An example of this would be the WHUS radio website, where he worked on a team to breathe new life into the site through a re-design. This website will go live late in 2026. A key theme throughout Remy’s art is practicality. He thinks that with all the powerful tools technology provides to us we should be using it to improve our lives, not distract from it.

Artist Statement
In a busy and ever demanding world, tasks can pile up without you noticing. Getting through this without getting overwhelmed and stressed out can prove difficult, especially for people with ADHD. As someone who is affected by this, I’ve become deeply invested in creating a game that helps alleviate this stress and makes the process fun. I’ve done this by developing the app Questify, where as you input your to-do tasks, they form spots on the digital game board. You progress through this game board by completing said tasks. Unlock gold, different playable slime characters, and in game items by completing the to-do lists you create! You have a digital helper called a slime that will accompany you on this journey. Feed it, dress it up, and make progress in the game to keep it happy (and in turn, keep you motivated to get your to-dos done!) The app also uses UI/UX tricks to motivate players into completing their tasks in small, manageable chunks. The dopamine released from strategies can be very influential for people with ADHD. Except instead of encouraging endless scrolling, this app is designed for tangible productivity.
