Artist Bio

Sarai Romero is a Digital Media and Design student at the University of Connecticut, Stamford, with a concentration in web and interactive media design, where she focuses on creating user-centered digital experiences that are both functional and visually engaging. She is from Guayaquil, Ecuador, and since childhood, she has loved drawing and playing with computers, which naturally led her to an interest in design and technology. She is intrigued by the positive impact that technology has had on society by making information more accessible, connecting people worldwide, and improving industries like communication, education, business, and healthcare. This interest motivated her to pursue UX design, as it combines creativity with technology. Her goal is to work as a UX/UI designer creating digital experiences that are intuitive, meaningful, and impactful.

Artist Statement

This app is your daily self-care companion designed to support students´emotional well-being and help them build healthy, positive habits. I designed this app after noticing how many students face stress, anxiety, and depression, and I wanted to design a tool that would help them manage negative feelings and achieve their personal goals by providing something simple they can rely on anytime. As a designer, I am specifically interested in healthcare and mental health, and this project allowed me to explore how UX design can support emotional well-being in a meaningful and accessible way. The app provides a safe, private space where students can reflect, track their moods and achievements, and stay consistent with their goals. It also guides students toward mental health resources available at their school. It is designed specifically with students in mind, focusing on consistency and providing a supportive tool they can use anytime and anywhere for personal growth.
