The Chocoholics Guide to College Baking is an interactive online recipe book listing my favorite recipes that college students can replicate in a dorm or apartment setting. It features stories from my family and friends to encourage users to connect with their chosen recipes. Packed with practical insights, this guide equips aspiring bakers with invaluable tips and tricks for navigating the unique challenges of baking in a college environment. The Chocoholics Guide was created using Adobe XD for the wireframing and prototyping process and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the coding aspect of the project. My project will encourage future and current college students to explore the joys of baking, regardless of their limitations in equipment or space.
Gabriella Shorr is a senior in The University of Connecticut’s Digital Media Design Program, concentrating on Web/Interactive Media Design. Gabi has a passion for both the arts and technology and has been able to embrace this through the Digital Media Design program. Throughout her education, she enrolled in most art courses available to her. After several months of hard work playing around with the software package, Gabi found her calling in the Adobe Suite in high school. As she started taking design classes in college, her interests broadened to include web design. Gabi’s ultimate goal is to become a web developer and she has been working as a design student for UConn's Information Technology Services Web Department. Work involves being hired by UConn departments and creating mockups that she implements utilizing WordPress. Gabi’s senior project, The Chocoholics Guide To College Baking, advised by Ting Zhou, involves designing a baking cookbook highlighting the tips and tricks for baking as a college student.
