Link to Manila

Manila is a short psychological horror film that explores the fear of uncertainty and how we become corrupted by our own paranoia. This film’s story focuses on a central character who begins to receive mysterious envelopes at his doorstep. Manila to me is a blend of my two previous short films, Index and Chamomile—both of which also touch on themes of confinement and isolation. Manila aims to build upon the thematic and technical approach explored in these previous projects.
